  • Crop protection
  • Plant physiology
  • Agronomy
Professional experience : • Thesis: Development of an Integrated Disease-Crop Lifecycle Model: Analysis of Blackleg Disease (Leptosphaeria maculans) in Canola (Brassica napus) • Model Development: Developed a process-based model linking blackleg disease lifecycle with the canola crop module in APSIM Next Generation, providing a framework for predicting disease impact and improving management strategies. • Data Analysis & Publications: Conducted comprehensive statistical analysis in R, resulting in two published journal articles, with a third under review, and a co-authored paper submitted for publication. • Laboratory Expertise: Developed and implemented laboratory protocols, executing all experiments and completing reports on schedule, supporting reproducibility and consistency in disease modelling. • Interdisciplinary knowledge exchange: Collaborated with experts across disciplines (crop and disease modellers, plant pathologists, crop physiologists, agronomists, and farming systems scientists), enhancing the integration of disease modelling and crop science. • Research Dissemination: Presented findings through oral and poster presentations at national and international conferences and the Canola Pathology Workshop, contributing to knowledge exchange within the agricultural research community within and across borders.
Education : Doctor of Philosophy (Agriculture), University of Tasmania
