Professional experience : •Epidemiology of Sclerotinia rot of Indian mustard investigated, forecasting models were developed and validated. Standardized and developed the screening technique for Sclerotinia rot and >5000 Brassica germplasm, breeding lines were screened and reported resistant/ tolerant sources in B. juncea.
•81 geographical isolates of Sclerotinia sclerotiorum were collected, maintained and their morphological variability, MCG, genetic diversity and pathogenicity established.
•Three Brassica germplasm first time developed and registered with ICAR-NBPGR for Sclerotinia rot tolerance/resistance. Four germplasm for white rust donor and two germplasm developed and registered for high temperature tolerance.
•First report of 21 new diseases from India and worldwide
•Participated in I4th, 15th and 16th IRC and organized Sclerotinia workshop in 15th IRC
•Participated in 110 seminar, conferences, meetings, workshops and published 125 abstracts.
•Published 118 research papers in National and International journals, 14 research notes, >600 popular articles and delivered >300 TV and radio talks.
